Journey To AJ

Happy almost New Year!!!

Finally got a chance to post some Christmas pic.'s.  What an awesome day!!!!  AJ was totally into it and loved ripping into his presents from Santa.  We have also had the blessing of having all of Mark's family visiting at one time or another since Thanksgiving which AJ love's.  He love's playing and learning new things from his cousins.

I would love to share more but I (Steph) was bitten by a nasty spider right next to my eye  on Christmas day and it has made me quite sick.  Not to mention how the antibiotics make me feel.  So I will post more later.

Great Weekend!

This past weekend we went to North Carolina for a relaxing trip in the mountains.  We had a great time.  We stayed at a wonderful lodge that not only catered to Mark and I but also to AJ.  There were farm animals onsite which was perfect for entertaining AJ. He particularly liked the pet turkey that followed us around. 

Friday we visited CWA and met all the wonderful staff that assisted us in AJ's adoption.  As you will see in the pic.'s AJ had fun visiting with Anya, his case worker.

Saturday night we went to "Hollywild" animal park to see lights and to our surprise alot of animals roaming freely.  It was so exciting for us to have reindeer and zebra's come right up to our car and eat out of our hands.  How cool!!! 

As much as we love to travel it's good to be home.  Yesterday AJ turned 18 months old!  He has his check up Friday with the pediatrician.  The whole vaccine thing is giving me a headache!  It just seems like they want to give him a shot for everything.  I will continue to do lots of research this week.

We're back!!!

We have been wanting to begin blogging for quite some time now but just haven't had a chance.  Can't imagine why!  We are all doing extemely well.  We survived Thanksgiving and are now having a blast with AJ and enjoying every minute of this Christmas season with him.

He is growing like a weed and learning new things everyday.  He took his first "official" steps a week ago although he's been cruising for a while now.  He loves to wave, clap, show us how big he is and stick his face under the faucet in the tub.  He absolutley loves water. 

We are going on our first family trip this weekend to relax and visit the agency.  We are excited to take Alexander there to meet the people that played such an important role in bringing him home.

So as you can see we have finally posted some new pictures and hope to get more posted soon.
